Sex abuse testimony OK’d for Dennis Hastert sentencing

Exactly 300 days after former U.S. House Speaker Dennis Hastert was indicted on bombshell charges of paying hush money to cover up wrongdoing in his past, the words “sexual abuse” were finally uttered on the record.

It came Tuesday during an unannounced court hearing at which lawyers on both sides met with the judge to discuss a potential delay in Hastert’s upcoming sentencing to accommodate an alleged victim — identified only as Individual D — who had recently come forward. Full Article

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; this country is corrupt from the top to the bottom. And this poor serial child molester has health issues; the courts wouldn’t give a damn if it was anyone else not in the good ol boys club. Probation to six months in an insult to everyone that has been victimized by these unconstitutional and unjust laws. People get sent to prison for decades and they never laid a hand on anyone or had consensual relations with their significant other, yet this man is a serial child molester and there’s talk of the lightest possible sentence?!???

The poor serial child molester just got out of the hospital, poor baby. He should have been harassed by the authorities while he was in there like they do to everyone else. To compound his crimes he was trying to get around federal reporting requirements to buy silence from some of his victims!

Read the article folks; this is the profile of a REAL CRIMINAL, and none of us in this forum have ever came anywhere near committing the heinous crimes this creep did; yet we are subjected to a lifetime of never-ending punishment upon punishment for what in many cases amounts to petty crimes when compared to this creep.

Why are there not EXTORTION charges on the people he was trying to keep from telling on him ? How is this not extortion ?how much money did they receive and who else was involved with this Extortion ?

While I am glad a sexual abuse victim is leaning towards coming forward, I am bothered by when such statements might be heard in court. Justice is supposed to be blind and not swayed by he said or she said evidence. By addressing additional information at sentencing its essentially telling any defendant that they are getting screwed over.

So you are already being sentenced, but you know just in case we feel like punishing you more here’s extra stuff we might consider as justification for a final decision on your sentence. People should absolutely have a right to speak up and tell their story, but at sentencing is not the place.

Now wouldn’t a label name of bastert, I mean hastert..be so called so citizens can protect themselves from the wrongs of public servants.?
Also, LATimes today has another school employee from Marlborough school got Got having sex with student. Of course, will get probation & later have it reduced. Won’t be on public listing.
Public employees continue to get this for having sex with your son or daughter.
That shah runner doesn’t do anything to protect students from the Romans public school employees. They know they will get probation for screhooling.

All this stuff about Hastert abusing minors on his wrestling team, and then looking back on Hastert’s conduct during the Mark Foley investigations ( no charges filed ) would make you think there was a cabal of Republican ephibophiles in Congress.
